Another human always in our space

Unwavering and caring in life's race

A friend when the road rises and gets rough

Someone who cares each day at the start

Holding our hand and sheltering our heart

We all need a hero thats happy when we win

A friend for life with the past in the bin

A brother or a sister putting us first

Supportive, loyal and quenching our thirst

We all need a hero in good times and bad

Someone to hold when happy or sad

A partner and mate in this world so bare

A look or a smile tells us they are there

So please be my hero and stay by my side

Let's travel together along this wild ride

Take my hand and dont ever let go

Together we can make it come rain or snow

We all need a hero and someone to care

Loyalty and bonds with love to share

Please be my hero and my rock in life
