Family

We learnt as parents and made mistakes and errors

Sometimes our three boys were absolute terrors

Whilst showing our sons it pays to strive for more

It was more important to be caring and kind for sure

We gave unconditional love and a place to call home

Time seems so fleeting and they have now grown

These sons still are the centre of our universe

With respect, manners and skills quite diverse

We have closely guided them all to grow

Into fine young men with families in tow

Supporting each other with a few years apart

They have shared so much right from the start

Simon came first and a joy to behold

A amazing gift for us to cherish and hold

As we learnt together as parents in training

His early life in England always raining

Sean came along second after some delay

A character for sure and still late to this day

A happy child so full of life and some style

Charming everyone with a hug and a smile

Brett was the last of our sons to appear

Lucky to have two older brothers to care

Fiercely competitive right from his first crawl

Determined to challenge his siblings so tall

Hierarchy was important and Simon lead the way

Whilst the boys were young and all having their say

The age gap was perfect and worked a treat

Each son had a turn to develop their own beat

Through childhood years they were a delight

Each child encouraged to voice their stories and light

Around the dinner table in healthy debate

Sharing our perspectives with love not hate

We taught them real values and confidence to bare

Showing our love with everything to share

We have travelled the world and so much more

Individually and together adventures galore

Our sons health and happiness was always top

We gave our time and energy non stop

From our head, heart and to the tips of our toes

Love, boundaries, respect and not anything goes

Unconditional love from birth and forever

Providing guidance and care through all weather

We grew with them through a heavenly childhood

Adapting and nurturing them into responsible manhood

We are proud they share our focus on family and soul

Keeping them close to each other was a core goal

As brothers they will always have each other's back

Long after we have both left this worlds track

Our family and sons are a blessing for sure

An amazing journey as we all strived for more

Bonded forever in the long and the short

Love, forgiveness and unbreakable support

We have learnt so much as we have all grown

Three sons now testament to our loving home

We have been blessed with so many joys

But none more so than having three boys
